A trip to Boonehall Farms is like hitting the lottery, but with great food instead of money. A wonderful selection of items at great prices – you just can’t beat it!
We were at Boonehall Farms the other day picking up some killer tomatoes, and a cart full of other things including some shrimp. While the nice man was weighing our shrimp I saw this view, and thought it looked a bit like a painting – especially the whole fish with the lemon/lime slices.

If you are ever in the Charleston, SC area, especially for an extended period of time (i.e. beach house rental) – I highly recommend Boonehall Farms. Their produce is spectacular, they also have a little restaurant inside, which we haven’t eaten at yet, but have heard VERY GOOD reviews… they have meat, homemade pies (tomato pie, quiche), dips, fruits, veggies, breads, wine. As well as house made pulled pork (tried it this weekend, it was fabulous), coleslaw, beans, etc. So you don’t even have to cook if you don’t want to! Down the street where the farm is located you can pick your own for a cheaper price. Of course it’s hotter than H-e-!-! and worth every penny for me to pay a little extra, but it’s an option, and a very popular option at that. Fun for the kids!
